Environmental Policy

U-Pak Disposals (1989) has clear environmental policies that challenge all employees to be
committed to protecting human health and the environment.

This commitment has become U-PAK’s calling card in all that we do reflected in the services
we provide to customers, the operation and design of our facilities, and to improve the
conditions in which our employees work.

Conservation
U-Pak will practice and promote the conservation of nature and the Earth’s energy resources.
One way we do this is by monitoring and limiting the idling of our trucks.

Protection
U-Pak will conduct all operations in a manner that protects the environment, our employees,
and our neighbours. We will proactively work to implement procedures and programs to
prevent pollution.

Compliance
We will ensure strict compliance with applicable environmental legislation and we will follow
any feasible industry or customer directive producing a positive environmental impact.
We will proactively implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance.

Communication
Our policy is available to the public. All U-Pak Employees are responsible for helping the
company to identify and remedy possible violations.

Suspicion of violations of law or U-Pak Disposals (1989) Limited Ethical Conduct and Practices
shall be communicated to the Board of Directors for immediate action.

We will regularly monitor our operations and make recommendations to the Board of Directors
on programs for continuous improvement of the environmental performance of the company.
Environmentalobjectives and targets will be established, reviewed and approved during the
management review.

Our Board of Directors and executive management will regularly monitor the environmental
performance to ensure adherence to the principles of this policy across the company.

U-Pak Disposals (1989) Limited communicates its commitment to sound environmental
practices to every employee through our regular Environmental Health and Safety meetings.
